Everest Camp Trekking starts with short scenic flight from Kathmandu to land at Lukla airstrip, a Sherpa town and the door to various adventure around Khumbu and Everest region, where walks leads to scenic valley and river gorge of Dudh Kosi.
Walking past nice and lovely farm villages adorned with prayer Mani walls along the trail overlooking views of Kusum-Khanguru-Kongde and Thermasarkhu peaks as walks leads into Sagarmatha National Park at Monjo village. (Sagarmatha for Everest in Nepali and Sherpa calls as Chomolungma in both languages means as ‘Great Mother’)
As adventure progress heading higher to reach at famous Namche Bazaar the hub of Khumbu where once a week busy and colorful Saturday market takes place in this wonderful large village, here having rest days with short hike to support acclimatization before heading higher country.
From Namche onwards on good wide and scenic trail within cool alpine woodland of rhododendron and pine trees facing views of Mt. Everest and majestic peak of Amadablam where walk leads to beautiful areas at Thyangboche with its interesting monastery.
Adventure continues leaving green vegetation and tree lines behind for sheer wilderness of dry and arid terrain with close views of high mountains, as walk reaches you at Everest Base Camp within arctic zone of ice and glaciers with stunning close views of massive Khumbu Ice-Falls.
After a great moment in high spirit climb up to Kalapathar rewards you with breathtaking panorama of mountains with closest Mt. Everest views at above (5,545m) the highest point of the adventure.
Return walk leads downhill most of the way back to Lukla for panoramic short smooth flight to Kathmandu with mesmerizing and awesome adventure on Everest Base Camp Trekking in the comfort of nice cozy mountain lodge with Sherpa warm hospitality.
